The Tanami Track became so muddy that staying upright was almost impossible (but somehow we did it). We were eventually forced to ride at walking pace as the bikes snaked all over the slippery track.

This was difficult physically (on both us and the bikes), and mentally as well. Shortly after this picture was taken, visibility began to approach zero as daylight disappeared to the Black cloud of the approaching electrical storm.

This forced us to ride with our visors up, which flung mud into our eyes. All these factors, coupled with lightning bolts striking the ground in front bought us very close to breaking point!

Getting to the next town alive was our main priority, so there are no more photos of this testing time.
